The Landless Workers Movement, or Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurales Sem Terra (MST), is a Brazilian social movement that strives for the democratization of the rural land and the empowerment of the peasant population. An important part of their work is their education system, which is based in the needs and aspiration of the local population, inspired by the ideas of Paulo Freire.
