It is an essential strategy for the achievement of sustainable and resilient societies. It is a right on its own and a means to the achievement of other rights.\u00a0This side event \u00a0looked at the intersection of SDG 4: to ensure inclusive and equitable <strong>quality education<\/strong> and promote <strong>lifelong learning<\/strong> opportunities for all with SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable and SDG 12: Ensure <strong>sustainable consumption and production\u00a0<\/strong>patterns.\u00a0Although the primary responsibility for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) lies at the country level, local governments, being the closest level of government to people, are critically placed to make cities sustainable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panelists:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rep.
