The next World Social Forum (WSF) will be held in Nepal from February 15 to 19. By setting down its bags in Kathmandu, the WSF intends to nurture the progressive momentum gained by this country of 30 million inhabitants, squeezed between two authoritarian regimes, China and India. It also wants to draw inspiration from it, and send out a message of hope by affirming Un autre monde, maintenant!
<\/p>

The World Social Forum (WSF) is a gathering of civil society organizations and social movements from all corners of the globe, working to build a world of social and environmental justice. WSF2024 Nepal will be a global event, with hundreds of Nepalese civil society organizations expecting over 40,000 people in Kathmandu. Five major conferences at the end of the day will be held in hybrid mode and webcast.
<\/p>

In a particularly gloomy international context and with governments failing to act on climate change, it’s essential to think outside the box and the status quo. Adult education is part of this hope for international solidarity. This is why ICAE has not only registered as an organization for the event, but is calling on movements for the right to lifelong learning to echo the activities, particularly in education, and join the event.

Le prochain Forum social mondial (FSM) se tiendra au N\u00e9pal du 15 au 19 f\u00e9vrier prochains. En posant ses valises \u00e0 Katmandou, le FSM entend nourrir l\u2019\u00e9lan progressiste qu\u2019a pris ce pays de 30 millions d\u2019habitants, coinc\u00e9 entre deux r\u00e9gimes autoritaires, la Chine et l\u2019Inde. Il veut aussi s\u2019en inspirer et lancer un message d\u2019espoir en affirmant Un autre monde, maintenant!<\/em><\/p>

Le Forum social mondial (FSM) est le rendez-vous des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des mouvements sociaux issus des quatre coins de la plan\u00e8te qui \u0153uvrent \u00e0 construire un monde de justice sociale et environnementale. Le FSM2024 N\u00e9pal sera un \u00e9v\u00e9nement d\u2019envergure mondiale, alors que les centaines d\u2019organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile n\u00e9palaise attendent plus de 40 000 personnes \u00e0 Katmandou. Cinq grandes conf\u00e9rences en fin de journ\u00e9e seront en mode hybride et seront diffus\u00e9es sur le Web.<\/p>

Dans un contexte international particuli\u00e8rement assombri et l\u2019inaction climatique des gouvernements, il est essentiel de penser en dehors de la bo\u00eete et du statu quo. L\u2019\u00e9ducation des adultes est une composante de cet espoir de solidarit\u00e9 internationale. C\u2019est pourquoi non seulement ICAE s\u2019est inscrit comme organisation \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, mais appelle les mouvements pour le droit d\u2019apprendre tout au long de la vie \u00e0 faire \u00e9cho aux activit\u00e9s en particulier en \u00e9ducation et \u00e0 se joindre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>
