Through this virtual seminar ICAE, in cooperation with DVV International, therefore wants to promote a debate and dialogue on selected articles from DVV International\u2019s journal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvv-international.de\/en\/adult-education-and-development\/\">Adult Education and Development<\/a>. This offers the chance to discuss the topics raised in the print issue in a virtual seminar and to go deeper and broaden the analysis. It creates a virtual space as an opportunity to share experiences from different regions and contexts, and to inspire new initiatives.<span id=\"more-314\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experiences and good practices from around the globe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the latest issue of Adult Education and Development (AED), authors from all over the world discuss the many facets of \u201cinclusion and diversity\u201d. They write about their own identity, discuss the changes needed to create inclusive societies and adult education systems, and present concrete \u201cinclusive\u201d methods of adult education.<\/p>\n<p>Inclusion and diversity are two sides of the same coin. Inclusion can only succeed if we recognise our differences \u2013 our diversity \u2013 and use them constructively. But how can we prevent social exclusion and enable all people to participate in society? What contribution can adult education make? Which learning approaches, programmes and institutions are needed to create an inclusive (adult) education system? And what does \u201cinclusive\u201d teaching actually mean? These are some of the questions raised in this year\u2019s issue of AED.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The seminar is free of charge, open to anyone and will start on 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of March.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe following articles of issue 84 of Adult Education and Development will be this years\u00b4 starting point of the seminar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvv-international.de\/en\/adult-education-and-development\/editions\/aed-842017-inclusion-and-diversity\/section-1-identity\/inclusion-diversity-and-exclusion-thoughts-from-within-aswat-palestinian-gay-women\/\"><strong>Rima Abboud<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from Palestine writes about the experiences of the\u00a0<em>Aswat \u2013 Palestinian Gay Women\u00a0<\/em>network,<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvv-international.de\/en\/adult-education-and-development\/editions\/aed-842017-inclusion-and-diversity\/section-2-change\/building-diversity-in-staff-migrants-as-professionals-in-austrian-adult-education\/\"><strong>Annette Sprung<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from the University of Graz, Austria discusses to what extent the migration-related diversity in Austria is reflected in adult education staff.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvv-international.de\/en\/adult-education-and-development\/editions\/aed-842017-inclusion-and-diversity\/section-3-method\/building-the-capacity-of-adult-educators-to-create-inclusive-classrooms\/\"><strong>Shermaine Barrett<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from Jamaica analyzes at the concept of \u201creflexivity\u201d, which helps teachers to critically reflect on their own teaching practice and to make their teaching inclusive;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvv-international.de\/en\/adult-education-and-development\/editions\/aed-842017-inclusion-and-diversity\/section-3-method\/inclusion-on-stage-a-zambian-theatre-case\/\"><strong>Daniel L.
