In 2019 the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE) <\/a>and DVV International <\/a>continue to build global dialogue, support an exchange of ideas and critical reflection on highly relevant topics in adult education and development. This includes a virtual seminar <\/a>discussing the \u201cRole and Impact of Adult Education\u201d<\/a>, following the latest edition of DVV International\u00b4s journal Adult Education and Development (AED) <\/a>with the same topic. <\/p>

To complement this, we are organizing a webinar. Henrique Lopes, <\/strong>professor and researcher of Public Health at the Portuguese Catholic University and Leona M. English<\/strong>, professor of adult education at St. Francis Xavier University, Canada and author of the Book \u201cAdult Education and Health<\/a>\u201d, have agreed to participate.<\/p>

During the webinar, Henrique Lopes will present his article on \u201cHow adult education can save your life\u201d<\/strong>(available online at the journal\u00b4s website in English<\/a>,French,<\/a>Spanish<\/a>), written for this years\u00b4 AED edition. He will discuss together with Leona M. English the impact that adult education can have on our health. How is it possible to place preventive healthcare education in the same category as literacy and numeracy, and to re-evaluate the importance of lifelong learning for our survival?<\/p>

Ceci comprend un s\u00e9minaire virtuel<\/a>pour d\u00e9battre \u00ab Le r\u00f4le et l\u2019impact de l\u2019\u00e9ducation des adultes \u00bb<\/a>, suite \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re \u00e9dition de la revue de DVV International \u00c9ducation des adultes et d\u00e9veloppement (EAD)<\/a>avec le m\u00eame sujet. <\/p>

Pour compl\u00e9ter cela, nous sommes en train d\u2019organiser un webinaire. Henrique Lopes, <\/strong>professeur et chercheur en sant\u00e9 publique \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 catholique portugaise et Leona M. En 2019, el Consejo internacional para la Educaci\u00f3n de Personas J\u00f3venes y Adultas (ICAE)<\/a>y D<\/a>VV International <\/a>contin\u00faan construyendo un di\u00e1logo global, apoyando el intercambio de ideas y la reflexi\u00f3n cr\u00edtica sobre temas de gran relevancia en educaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de personas adultas.
