This includes the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from Tuesday, 13 July, to Thursday, 15 July 2021 as part of the high-level segment of the Council. The theme will be: <em>&#8220;Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development&#8221;<\/em>. HLPF 2021 will discuss SDGs 1 , 2, 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 17. The Forum will also consider the integrated, indivisible and interlinked nature of the Sustainable Development Goals. There is already a wealth of information on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/hlpf\/2021#intro\" target=\"_blank\">2021 HLPF website<\/a> and under\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/hlpf\/2021#programme\">Programme<\/a>.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"151\" src=\"http:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF-1024x151.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1812\" srcset=\"https:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF-1024x151.png 1024w, https:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF-600x89.png 600w, https:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF-300x44.png 300w, https:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF-768x114.png 768w, https:\/\/icae.global\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/HLPF.png 1095w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p>The HLPF will be hosted virtually and all official sessions of the 2021 HLPF will be available to watch via <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/webtv.un.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">UN Web TV<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>There are 13 thematic official sessions in this year\u2019s HLPF programme and a discussion paper on the theme of the HLPF, submitted by MGoS E\/HLPF\/2021\/2) can be found on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/hlpf\/2021#docs\" target=\"_blank\">HLPF website under \u2018Documentation and Inputs\u2019,<\/a> to which also ICAE contributed as EASG (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/educationacademia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Education and Academia Stakeholder Group)<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Each MGoS constituency was invited to submit a paper. The focus of the Sectoral Position Papers was the theme of the 2021 HLPF. The deadline for submission of these papers has passed. The papers will be reviewed and uploaded as inputs to the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/inputs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li><li>You can locate the latest revised draft of the <strong>Ministerial Declaration<\/strong> in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/hlpf\/2021#outcome\" target=\"_blank\">Outcome section of the 2021 HLPF website<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><p>ICAE has been very active already in the last couple of months by<strong> leading the Advocacy and the VNR Task Groups<\/strong> of the MGoS Coordinations Mechanism, attending and contributing to Expert Groups Meetings as well as negotiations on various outcomes documents.<\/p><p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs)<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><strong><br>You can <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/vnr\" target=\"_blank\">check here<\/a> if your country is presenting a VNR this year.<\/strong>\u00a0 The usual practice of Major Groups and other Stakeholders having an opportunity to ask a question of VNR countries following their presentations will continue this year. The MGoS VNR Task Group recently shared details about the nomination and collaboration process. UN DESA in collaboration with the\u00a0MGoS-Coordination Mechanism\u00a0hosted\u00a0\u00a0three webinars (English, French, and Spanish) to introduce new representatives of the\u00a0MGoS to the Voluntary National Reviews (VNR) at the\u00a0HLPF.
