Statement of the Arab day for the eradication of illiteracy

The Arab Network for Literacy and Adult Education (ANLEA) published a statement calling for a new A new decade for lifelong teaching and learning – In light of the framework of Marrakesh.

The 8.1. of each year comes as a reminder of the importance of exerting and unifying Arab efforts to eradicate the scourge of illiteracy – that day was approved by the ALECSO Organization as an Arab day for the eradication of illiteracy, and at the beginning of 2023 the whole world is facing a pressing economic and humanitarian crisis, while the Arab world is still groaning under crises of asylum and displacement Armed conflicts and weak political and security stability.
