ICAE is pleased to present the 2023 Annual Report, marking a year of significant milestones and advocacy achievements in adult learning and education. This year was particularly special as ICAE celebrated its 50th anniversary, commemorating five decades of dedication to lifelong learning worldwide. The anniversary was highlighted by the 11th World Assembly in Bali, Indonesia, a gathering that brought together participants from around the globe to envision the future of adult education.
Key highlights from 2023 include ICAE’s active role in global forums, such as the CONFINTEA VII follow-up and the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), where we advocated for adult education as essential to sustainable development. The report also covers our impactful capacity-building projects, including IALLA 2023 and collaborations like the TALE project, and celebrates ICAE’s induction into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame.
