The ALE4TT project—Adult Learning & Education for the Twin Transition—ran from September 2023 to August 2025, co-funded by Movetia and implemented in collaboration with ICAE, EAEA, and the Swiss Federation for Adult Learning. It addressed the interlinked digital and green transitions shaping policy landscapes (from Agenda 2030 to the European Green Deal), positioning adult learning as a vital catalyst for a just and inclusive future.
We’re pleased to share three practical outputs—co-created with adult educators across 15 countries—that aim to empower practitioners, institutions, and policymakers alike:
1. International Training Programme
The ALE4TT Training Programme distills the learning, methodologies, and reflections from two training rounds—in Belgrade (May 2024) and in Brussels (May 2025)—engaging 34 participants in co-design across theory and practice.
It was developed together with learners, who actively shaped content throughout—setting expectations, feedback loops, and collaborative sessions. The result is a refined programme guide designed for adult educators to use, adapt, and build upon.

2. Interactive Advocacy Toolkit
A dynamic, user-friendly online toolkit for adult educators to explore and employ in championing ALE’s role in the twin transition.
It houses methodologies, teaching resources, strategic guidance, and illustrative case studies—designed both for those just beginning in this area and practitioners looking to deepen their work.
3. Tailored Policy Recommendations
Targeted recommendation sets for ALE institutions, researchers, and policymakers—all grounded in co-developed insights from participants during two trainings in Belgrade and Brussels.
These recommendations distill strategic advice, supported by examples, best practices, and additional resource pointers—serving as a roadmap for advocating the importance of adult learning within the twin transitions.
