ICAE Takes Part in Ramadan Meetings – Hosted by the Morocco Lifelong Learning Forum

As part of the third edition of the “Ramadan Meetings” series, the Moroccan Lifelong Learning Forum, in partnership with the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning, organized its first virtual seminar on the theme: “Lifelong Learning in the Context of Contemporary Societal Transformations: From Concept to Procedural Approaches.”

The second meeting featured the participation of ICAE and brought together educators, policy makers, and civil society leaders (over 36 participants). The webinar included six presentations delivered by the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning, DVV, Pamoja, ICAE, Moja, and the Morocco Forum for Lifelong Learning. They highlighted their roles to promote adult education and lifelong learning. ICAE was well presented by Carrol Avande, Farrell Hunter, and Elarbi Imad. ICAE representatives interacted with the audience and responded to the questions and comments that were raised on the importance of involving universities and need to establish an African network for lifelong learning in addition to the provision of concrete strategies and tools to be implemented.

On 17 March 2026, the third and final webinar of the third edition of Ramadan Meetings Forum was held under the theme: “The Role of Lifelong Learning Institutions in Promoting Learning and Adult Education in Africa.”
